Give your brain a break

April 19, 2016

I love trolling the internet. I do. I think you can discover fantastic content online on just about anything. Blogs, videos, photographs, funny memes - you name it, the world wide web pretty much has an answer to any query, key word or alphabet search.

As much as I enjoy browsing and learning for hours on end, I must admit ever so often though, I feel like my head might explode with so much information. Many times I find the content so useful that I seldom close the tabs hoping to read it over again, which I rarely do, because I discover more awesome stuff online.

Is it just me or do others also feel like human heads inflated with too much gyaan could be likened to a browser with too many tabs left open? At some point you’re just going to have to shut it down before it hangs. So if you find yourself in a similar situation or on your way there, here are a few things to do to prevent bheja (brain)- fry:

1.Shut down your computer - you can do it!

2.Wash your face, especially your eyes with some cold water - you will feel better

3.If your employer allows it, go for a stroll around the park and you’ll return refreshed and ready to absorb some more

4.Play fetch with your pooch or your colleague, either one will do

5.If you’re close by, go for a ride on the metro

6.Prank somebody

7.Eat your favourite food

8.Take a power nap

9.Play a musical instrument

10.Watch a time pass movie

These are a few things you could do. Feel free to add some of your methods of coping with an overworked brain.
